Fundraise for the Animals

With the generous support of our community and friends like you, Hawaii Island Humane Society is helping more than 1,000 animals each year. One of the most meaningful ways you can save lives and keep families together is by hosting a fundraiser for the pets and people HIHS serves.

Your event can be a special way to help support our mission of preventing cruelty to animals, eliminating pet overpopulation, and enhancing the bond between humans and animals! It's great you want to be a part of it. You can inspire others, spread compassion, and make a lasting difference for pets and people.

Here are some ways that you can help raise funds for HIHS:

• Donate your Birthday
  Your special anniversary in life can become a powerful support for animals in need. Instead of receiving gifts, you can invite your friends and family to give to HIHS in honor of your birthday. Often fundraising hosts will ask for gifts equal to their age to inspire those they are asking!
• Honor or Remember Your Pet
  On your pet's adopt-iversary or birthday you can inspire people you know to join in donating to HIHS in this special way!
• Celebrate Your Anniversary
  Celebrate that special anniversary in your life by raising funds for pets and people. You can even incorporate the year of your anniversary in the asks (i.e. $25, $125, $225) to call out your special year.
• Honor or Remember a Special Person in Your Life
  Maybe this person has had an achievement or has made a difference in your life, or you just want to share with them how important their love of pets is between the two of you, either way you can create something unique that inspires those in your life to join in you honoring this passion through gifts to HIHS.
• You Want to Help HIHS Raise Funds
  That’s terrific! Start your page and personalize it to your efforts. You can host a house party or even just send out ask friends and family to join you in donating.
